Clacton Pier has long been regarded as one of the prime sea fishing spots along the Tendring coastline.
Summer or Winter, there is always plenty of action to be had on this six acre pleasure pier.
Although, like Walton pier, this pier is hugely popular with day trippers during the summer season, its berthing arm ensures a more private fishing session than the pier in Walton.

Day
Tickets currently cost £5.00 and are available from the Pier's front
office. Season permits are £75, which are valid for a year from the day
you bought it. With a permit you are still restricted to 9-5 fishing.
Bass are now
starting to move off, with the Winter species starting to show up.
Already, there has been plenty of codling and whiting caught, codling have
been showing around the 3lb mark. Plenty of
smaller schoolie bas aswell, with dogfish, eel's and pouting also adding to
sport.
