About Us

We're a well-established fishing tackle shop situated on the Essex coast at Clacton-on-Sea! The current proprietor has been serving the local & tourist public for the last 12 years; but the shop has stood the test of time dealing as a Fishing Tackle shop since 1968, when John Porter first opened up.

We stock all types of fishing tackle, for Coarse, Carp, Game & Sea. We keep a large range of groundbaits (over 50 types!) / hookbaits / boilies; along with all the essentials to enjoy a good days freshwater fishing.

We deal with all major manufacturers of fishing tackle, and regularly have stock arriving keeping up to date with the latest products available. Giving you the best possible chance when you're sitting on the bank, or on the beach.

We can guarantee to be the cheapest tackle shop in our area.


We have live sea bait delivered daily, and keep all sea tackle & rigs.

Also now in stock are 3 cabinets full of air rifles & hand air pistols. We keep SMK, BSA, Webley, Gamo rifles & accessories.

New for 2011 we have also started stocking a range of harrows darts and accessories, at low prices. Come in and have a throw! Cheapest in town - We'll match any price!
